DJ Profiles
our outstanding DJ's, a vital cog in the SOS machine.DJ Webbo
My name is Steve Webb or Webbo as I am more commonly known. I first started DJing all the way back in 1991 (YES! I really am that old!). It all started with a Friday night at my local pub having had only a few weeks of experience with the concept of DJing. Needless to say I had a lot to learn..
After spending a few months on the pub circuit I developed the addiction to music and decided it was time to break into the club world. Throughout the following years I worked my way up the ranks of commercial DJ’s. Although I am happy to play any style of music providing it creates an atmosphere I have always been a bit of a house head.
During my career the determination to play in some of the most prestigious venues has landed me residencies in clubs such as Limelites, The Hippodrome and even the world famous Ministry of Sound along with various other well know venues around the country.
Apart from DJing I must confess to being a huge petrol head. When I am not in the clubs I can usually be found on a race track of some description involving bikes, cars or go karts.
You can currently catch me playing at S.O.S on Fridays and El Mono on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Look out for some of my own studio material and remixes which will be coming here soon. For more information check me out on facebook.
See you on the dance floor!
DJ Danny K
Dan first got involved at the age of six when he started to play the drums. He was inspired by his dad who was in an up and coming rock band. Over the years he progressed on the drums, and decided to learn other instruments such as the guitar and piano. To be really good at mixing and producing it's highly beneficial to have rythmic experience.
At the age of twelve, Dan moved to France for six years. Over the next few years Dan's hobbies were collecting music and playing in his band. When he reached sixteen he became a sound technician for a large rock festival based in France, where he was living at the time.
Not long after his 18th birthday he moved into his own place back in the UK. It was in the UK that he acquired a roadie job for a DJ based in Kent. Dan travelled around the south of the UK and London, watching the DJ.
He played a couple of 18ths where the word spread, and soon, he was in high demand playing out every Saturday. One Friday night he was aked to cover at Bar 2 Far with Ivor Thomas, from this one night they were offered a residency. Within two weeks the bar on a Saturday night went from 100 people a night to having 300 people a night and max capacity around 10pm!
Dan has since played in many big clubs in the UK, France & Spain, among other countries.
DJ Jack Brown
A talented DJ and Producer, Jack is definitely one to watch. He first started spinning discs at the age of 11, and has gone from strength to strength since.
